Real Shrestha people are the local residence of Kathmandu valley and nearby Kathmandu Valley. They were the people who used to do various business activities with Tibet. Shrestha as well as other Newar community started their business with Tibet in past times.Shrestha were the people who went out from the Kathmandu for the business purpose.Mostly Shrestha were business person due of business activity they started settle in the place where most of the business activity happened.When the business with Tibet was closed than to do business Shrestha people started alternative places to do business where they can do economic transactions with other people.They started to stay in places outside the valley in small bajars where
they could run their business so they choose alternative bajars and city for their business .where they selected city like as Bhimphedi, Hetauda, Naryanghat, Bandipur etc and Bajars like as Banepa, Dapcha, Manahari, Pokhara etc.
Due to of Migration from their real hometown Kathmandu most of the Shrestha started to forget their own culture and tradition. They became modernize by going outside the Kathmandu and start to forget own culture and tradition But some of the Shrestha of Dapcha, Dhulikhel, Gorkha, Tansen are still preserving their culture and tradition.They even celebrate jatras and other festivals where they even have guthis.
The real meaning of Shrestha in Nepali means superior person who is talent in every thing and fit in everything where some one has described Sya Sya means bad bad to Shrestha which is totally wrong. But we all newar people are good and they are equal and have no any discrimination .As in Newar Jyapu means Jya = work and Yyapu = can do means the people who can do strong physical works are known as Jyapu where this word hasn't any bad meaning or domination but its a their identity. Where as Sahi in Newar community means butcher people its a title given by the Royal Family to the guy who cut the beef instead of their son from then they started to put their surname as a Sahi means Royal where it became their own identity. Same like that all the other cast inside newar have its own identity and value where all the newar are equal and the caste is only according to their historical profession and no one has change their own history and to clear own history.
This is the real History about real Shrestha people where this have equal respect to all Newar and want to integrate all the Newar people together clearing their confusion. Shrestha are one of the unique caste inside a newar community where they have nearly similar culture and tradition of other newar people but the way of system of culutre becomes little bit differ than other newar.
In modern days all people are talent and brilliant where Shrestha = Superior is just the meaning of caste where nowadays all human are superior but the thing is that all newar shouldn't forget there own culture & tradition and musn't be hesitate to define about own identification or history. Everything die one day but remains alive is history, culture & tradition. Even nowadays newar of outside Kathmandu valley are forgetting their own identity where we have to thank to the newar people of Kathmandu valley and nearby villages like as Dlhulikhel, Dapcha, Thankot, Kapan etc.
The conflict between Joshi, (Karmacharya, Rajopadhya, Shrestha ) & (Maharjan, Singh, Dangol, Sahi, Khadki, Shakya, Tamrakar, Chitrakar, Malakar, etc) should be cleared up where everyone are great at their own place and all newar people musn't create domination or conflict inside themself. If the domination or conflict remains inside newar community than Shrestha, Dangol, Chitrakar etc will loose their own identity in future.
